I struggled and struggled to get my G85 going. It would print a very small part of a page and stop. One last ditch attempt did it. Do everything in order the exact order. I picked up a free program uninstaller a few years back.
Ok make sure your printer is all plugged in and usb connected. Close everything. Reopen control panel under hardware and sound click view devices and printers. Right click remove device. Now everything I just told you to do I did over and over at this point I would restart the computer and windows would reinstall the drivers and then fail. Now what you are going to do different is use the Wise program remover to uninstall every stitch of remaining software that was obviously conflicking wise a clean install.

In reply to Ferdz Amp's post on July 17, I can print but cannot do scan anymore. Thanks for the advise, and apologies for the late reply was out of the country for an extended period. On the HP website, one turns in circles, but the printer is not formally supported on windows. The strange thing is my daughter has an HP laptop with Windows 10 and she prints on the printer without any special installations, just plug in the USB and it scans, prints I have Dell under windows 10, and it does not even recognize the device when I plug in the USB and there is nothing wrong with the USB port on the laptop.
WIN10 more trouble than it is worth, unfit for purpose and will claim refund. I have an old but still working HP Officejet G It has a USB 1. It has 2 USB 2. It is on the USB 2. I have only had this motherboard about 2 weeks and have successfully printed a test page before Windows 10 did an update to version Now I have incomplete print issues.
BTW the upgrade to stopped my PC from crashing every 30 minutes.
